I enjoy your work under both pen names. I'm a 57 year old guy who enjoys western stories. Modern settings for novels don't interest me. I live in the desert northeast of LA and much prefer rural environs to urban. I have a cousin who breeds and trains horses about 1/2 way between North Platte and Cheyenne and another who is back living in his home town of Saguache CO after having been a teacher on "the list" at Columbine. So i feel a sort of connection to you living in Ft Collins as it states in your autobio on this web page. Please keep writing as you have been. I find that Zane Grey's wonderful stories tend to get lost in the grandiloquent prose. Louis L'Amour wrote some wonderful stories far more readable than Grey. William Johnston gets carried away with his supermen single-handedly killing huge gangs of 50 to 100 enemies, although his nephew and some of his other co-writers do quite well. I prefer the work of yourself, Jory Sherman, Elmer Kelton, Ralph Compton, etc. Revenge at Hatchet Creek was the 1st of your works I encountered and have kept my eyes open for more.

I bought two of your novels for my husband for Christmas, Bells of El Diablo and Dead RiverKiller, and he had already read Revenge at Hatchet Creek. He really enjoys your books and your style of writing. I will be purchasing more for him and for my son. They both are prolific readers and love westerns. My son wants to read your warewolf novel. We are wondering, however, why you chose to write under the penname "Frank Leslie" and do you write under any other pennames? Looking forward to hearing from you. Patti

Hello from North Dakota, Just read "The Devil Gets His Due" & starting "The Devil & Lou Prophet". I agree, you do write like Louis L'Amour. I am a great Louis L'Amour fan & have nearly all his books. Now I'm hoping to start a Peter Brandvold collection.

Hello, I just wanted to say that I have just finished reading my first Peter Brandvold novel, "The Devil and Lou Prophet", I really liked it and am going to be purchasing it for my collection. I really like the website and can't wait to start reading more of the books on the list. Thanks. :)
